During these difficult times, Smith Dennis-Smith Funeral Home is here to serve. The COVID-19 Pandemic has presented a very serious and challenging situation. However, Smith Dennis-Smith Funeral Home stand with you, your family and our Government; both local and national, to keep you and your family safe and comforted.   We will abide by the guidelines that are set forth by Governor Kemp and City of Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms. These guidelines stress proper social distancing of six feet or more and not to gather in groups of more than ten.  We want to assure you that we are doing everything we can to keep our families, guest, staff, facility and equipment sanitized and safe. We are following Guidance from the CDC and the National Funeral Directors Association  regarding sanitization, disinfecting measures, personal precautions, and directives for social distancing and crowd limitations..

Making funeral arrangements during these times: 

We are available 24 hours a day.  When a death occurres, or is expected to occur soon, we are available to assist you. Following the local, state and CDC guidelines, we are working to safely accommodate our families and their wishes. Arrangements can be made in various ways, including: from a distance via phone, e-mail, fax, Facetime or Skype.  If you wish to come in person, that can be accommodated and we will talk through how best to accomplish that while following the current guidance that will get us all through these times. Together, we can manage these challenges. 

Services:

Due to updated local, state and CDC guidelines, funerals and memorial services will be limited. To safely manage these circumstances, we have arranged for immediate family visitation services, remote visitations and live remote chapel services from our facility. We can arrange for small graveside services compliant with local and state limitations.

Additionally, please know there are simple ways we can share services through social media and online so that friends can participate from a distance.

Tomorrow: The Future: 

As we go forward, we are learning that this situation is fluid and changes frequently. While we work to serve our families in uncertain times, we will strive to provide ways for everyone to participate and surround each other with support during times of loss, and we will do so while doing our part to maintain the safety of our families, their friends, our staff and community.
